Our mission
Dr. Avinash Kshar has a special interest in the treatment of occlusal problem and TMDs through Programmed treatment planning, which he loves to share with his fellow Clinicians through the 2/4/5 day personalized workshop conducted at Dr.Avinash Kshar’s Advanced Dental Care.
Through this workshop clinicians can learn:
1. Diagnosis of TMDS with ease & confidence in their clinical practice.
2. Instant fabrication of Anterior deprogrammer them in their clinic.
3. Treatment planning for TMD Cases
4. Diagnosis and Selection of cases to see if the patient requires FMR or not.
5.Differentiate Myofacial pain (MD) from other dental pain & referred orofacial pain.
6. Take Face bow & Bite of patient for occlusal splint
7. Design & Fabricate occlusal splint.

Day 1
Theory
- Why is there a need for occlusal splint therapy?
- Understanding the masticatory apparatus
- Understanding & Examination of the TMJ Anatomy & Muscles of Mastication.
- Imaging modalities of hard & soft components of TMJ (understanding TMJ, CBCT, MRI & CT Scan)
- Understanding of normal occlusion, occlusal problems, and their causes
- Understanding the disastrous sequalae of occlusal interferences and unstable occlusion.
- Through understanding of TMDS (Myofacial pain, internal disc derangement, why your TMJ Produces a clicking sound & osteoarthritis).
Demo & Hands on
- Demonstration on how to record facebow & transfer it to the articulator.
- Recording of Bite for Splint.
- Occlusal analysis of mounted models on articulator.
- Fabrication of wax pattern for full coverage occlusal splint with anterior and canine guidance.
- Demonstration of Anterior Deprogrammer.
Day 2
Theory
- Treatment planning of TMDS
- Types of occlusal splints
- . What occlusal splints can & cannot do
Hands on
- Participants will make a wax pattern of full coverage occlusal splint with anterior and canine guidance on the articulator, get approval and send to the lab for acrylization.
Day 3
Theory
- How to deliver full coverage occlusal splint with anterior and canine guidance & anterior deprogrammer to patient and instructions of patient
- How to do reprogramming of occlusal splints with anterior and canine guidance & recalls.
Demo & Hands on
- Demo of the intraoral method of fabrication of full coverage occlusal splint with anterior and canine guidance.
- Participants deliver an intraoral full coverage Occlusal Splint with anterior and canine guidance splint.
Day 4
Theory
- What next after occlusal splint therapy gets over?
- Case Report and Video Testimonials of Occlusal Splint Therapy patients
- Case Reports of TMD to FMR
- Case Reports of Treatment of occlusal problems in patients.
Demo
- Delivery of heat cured acrylic full coverage Occlusal Splint with anterior and canine guidance made on semi-adjustable articulator by extra-oral method.
Day 5
Theory
- Differential Diagnosis of Myofacial Pain from other dental and orofacial pain.
Demo
- Reprogramming of Occlusal Splints
- Demonstration of T- Scan
- DSD Lecture & Test-Drive Demonstration.
